Alcohol is used to both help extract the active ingredient and to preserve the herbs. Herbal extract tinctures are best drunk using the following guidelines: 1. Take time to read the label of each Pukka tincture as every herb carries a recommended dose of drops. 2. Add the recommended dose to a glass/cup of boiling water and leave for three minutes. This process allows more than 99% of the alcohol to evaporate. 3. Drink the herbs – the taste of the herbs should be discernible and this in itself will have a positive effect on the body. 4.
