Let's catalog the deceptions and data of interest.
The company is "Blue Mountain Herbs."
They start with claiming that their MSM is 99.9% pure. This is true, but deceptive. ALL MSM has essentially the same purity -- the only difference among various manufacturers is the amount of moisture in the powder. This company says they have 0.01% moisture. The Vibrant Life brand of MSM is 99.5% pure, and has 0.05% moisture.
Further on this, Vibrant Life is the ONLY source of MSM where the identity of the independent testing lab, the lab that tested the purity of our product, provides an actual certificate of analysis. No other source of MSM has an independent testing lab -- if they have any test results claimed, they will usually not answer questions about them, or will simply say that they are "in-house" tests.
They may be accurate, but why not get the world's largest independent testing lab to test your MSM? Why not! We use SGS -- the world's largest independent testing lab to test the purity of our MSM.
Price, on this first page for Blue Mountain's MSM, they show four bottles, 200 capsules each bottle, 1000 mg per capsule. This means that each bottle has 200 grams, or 800 grams in four bottles, for $44.00. 800 grams is .8 kg. The Vibrant Life price for ONE KILOGRAM is $45, and if you buy only five KGs the price is $20 per kg.
Vibrant Life does also have capsules, and it is certainly true that capsules cost much more than bulk powder. But, the Vibrant Life capsules, 500 mg per capsule, 500 capsules per bag, cost $90 for one kg. This is more than Blue Mountain, but if you buy more bags, the price gets lower.
Like most web sites, Blue Mountain does NOT provide a street address. The last thing they want is a dissatisfied customer driving up to their office -- they offer only the PO Box address.
Blue Mountain claims that their MSM is "patented." That is another deception. There ARE patents on MSM. I have every one of them on my web sites. But, the patents have nothing to do with the manufacture of MSM, thus have no usefulness.
