Dear Karl,
Your site would have to be the best MSM site and believe me I have seen enough of those today.
We would like to access MSM for it's properties in helping persons bitten by spiders leading to necrotic ulcers and blisters.
Would you ship it to us in Australia?
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Meanwhile I am off to read more of your writings on MSM.
Keep up the great work
S

Dear S,
I am fascinated by your comment about MSM alleviating the dangers of spider bites.
I would be glad to ship one kilogram as a sample, in return for information suitable for my web page -- either existing information, or your test protocol (before running it) and the results in published or pre-published form.
It makes sense. MSM is a detoxifier and a penetrant.
Are you connected with any sort of laboratory where tests can be run?
If you are simply a group of spider bite victims, it would seem more appropriate for you to pay, at least the shipping for a kilo?? I will guess that shipping to Australia will cost about $25 -- just a guess. I'm asking Jennifer to eMail you a quote on air shipping of one kilo to you.
I'll be sending your question to my technical expert, too, for comments about MSM usage in such situations.
This would be a fine addition to my web site -- particularly with personal testimonials.
Let me know.

Dear Karl,
What can I say?
A big Australian thank you.
We have been searching for a safe detoxifier for bite victims that continue to suffer with the systemic effects long after the initial bite. The bite of Australian spiders such as the Lampona cylindrata and Lycosa species are very similar to the brown recluse spider. It seems that the effects continue longer from the Australian spider venom.
We would consider it an honour to accept your sample of MSM.
My address is:
Susi Messenger
Australia
Please let me know what arrangements we need to make for us to pay the shipping costs for the 1 kg sample of MSM.
I imagine the $25 that Jennifer quoted is in American dollars.
We are a group of spider victims that have an ad-hoc advisory panel of interested doctors, but knowing the conservative medical environment in this state they may not want to participate. I will ask.
We would consider it an honour to perform clinical trials with your MSM and provide you with any information you need , within our capabilities. Please inform me of the kind of information you need and what sort of laboratory tests that need to be run. We may be able to get trailers to have tests run with their General Practitioners? Let me know. Our budget is nil as we run on donations at present.
We are performing clinical trials for an Australian company using a natural spray disinfectant product called Eucanol and we have protocols in place for documenting the effects of any product used. We are using questionnaires and photographs to document the improvements and testimonials are flowing from the pens of people using Eucanol. The questionnaire uses carefully worded questions and a continuum for answers before , during and after treatment.
The Director of the company is pleased with these trials, that he is going to sponsor part of our Inaugural Conference in Adelaide South Australia in June 2000. We intend to publish the trials of any products we use, release them at the conference and display the products at the conference. We intend to relay our 2 day conference on the Internet.
Once again, Many, many thanks to you Karl. Please reply and we can get the process started.
Yours sincerely

Dear S,
| I suspect that one kilogram won't last
long -- so I'll send two on Tuesday next. We have just started our weekend
today, and Monday is a holiday.
So, Jennifer will send along two kilograms of MSM, and you can pay later. (Australian Jumping Spider -- to the right) |
Do you ever have access to spider victims within a few minutes, or hours of a bite? That may well be a good time to apply MSM topically. What are the normal treatments -- both on immediate and later basis?
I have lots of questions.
I'll publish some of this material in my September electronic newsletter and the whole world can watch with interest as you do your tests.
I'll continue to be very interested and give you whatever suggestions I can.
So, two kilos to you on Tuesday.
Sincerely,
Karl Loren

Dear Karl,
A huge thank you for yourself and your company.
I have been composing a Home Page for a while and between a toddler and the tiredness that comes with it and being a complete beginner the pages are raw and nearly finished.
May I send what I have to you?
I will send pictures on tonight's mail (my time). I will send details of the pictures in the body of the letter.
Reviewing what I have in our Library here regarding treatments for spider bite in Australia I can see many parallels between the United States and Australia.
The use of antibiotics, steroids and antihistamines are the stock standard conventional treatments upon confirmation of spider bite. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been clinically tested with some success but may reveal future systemic respiratory and hearing problems for those who have undertaken the therapy.
Probable spider bite takes longer to treat and in some cases waiting for a confirmation prolongs the healing process. Catching the bite at it's earliest stages, at an anecdotal level at least, means the difference between an early recovery or prolonged suffering.
That is why I contacted Vibrant Life. According to a testimonial mentioned on the page you have set up MSM used at the early stages may make a huge difference.
Ask individuals who have experienced anti-venom therapy about the systemic effects they face daily. Grateful of having their life saved by such therapy they left with grave systemic symptoms that are then treated symptomatically and their quality of life is reduced due to these side effects as well.
We hope that MSM may hold some light for these individuals as well. In combination with other therapies MSM may gently detoxify the body returning some balanced to a stress out system.
Thanks again Karl
Yours sincerely
Secretary
